King Arthur rules again after short lapse

KING ARTHUR, who reeled off four consecutive wins from last November to mid February, was back in winning ways after finishing on board in three subsequent starts.

Ridden by apprentice Yusoff Fadzli, the Australian gelding came from just off the pace to beat SKY EYE by one length in the Class 3 - 1000m handicap on the polytrack at Kranji here today.

It was a repeat of the results of a Class 4 contest back in January when KING ARTHUR beat SKY EYE by two lengths over the trip.

KING ARTHUR was unplaced in two starts in Australia and has now picked up six wins in 17 outings in Singapore.

"I thought the horse was a little bit big today, that he might improve for the run – we know he will," said trainer Donna Logan.

"We freshened him up for this race to progress on but obviously it worked.

"We opted to claim the 3kgs with Yusoff and he rode him to instructions and he did well."
