Four consecutive wins for King Arthur

KING ARTHUR would up a successful first season in Singapore with his second win in 10 starts last November.

With the sudden departure of his trainer Mark Walker, the Australian gelding was transferred to Donna Logan who has done a remarkable job to win three more times with the four-year-old this season.

A double in Class 4 last month was followed up by another success in the Class 3 - 1200m handicap on the polytrack at Kranji here today. All his five wins have come on this surface.

"He’s a very good horse, but we’ll still take it step by step with him," Logan said. "We’ve done a bit of work with him, and we’ll just have to pick our way around and find the races available for him."

"I have to say I was a bit worried when the rain came. I didn’t want either to end up on the fence, but it was an excellent result in the end."

For winning jockey Wong Chin Chuen, KING ARTHUR was the third leg of a superb quadruple for the meeting. A win in the second race on DANCING TYCOON was followed by strikes in the final three races in-a-row.

GLOBAL KID and SPEEDY MISSILE were his other winners of the afternoon, bringing his tally to seven for the season.
