Grand Cross marks
50 start with easy win

GRAND CROSS marked his 50th outing
- his first after turning 10 - in the MRA circuit with his 18th win, and his
20th career total.
Sold for A$1.3mil as a yearling, the son of
Fastnet Rock won two races in Australia before heading to Singapore where he
picked up four wins.
Moving to Malaysia, GRAND CROSS has been a multiple winner in each of the
four seasons he raced here.
Earlier in the season, the Australian gelding registered three wins and two
seconds in six starts.
Resuming after his unplaced run two months ago, GRAND CROSS quickly bounced
back to the winner's circle with a runaway win in the Enrich Stakes A event
over 1200m here today.
Ridden for the first time by apprentice Shiva Balan, GRAND CROSS cruised
home by 2 3/4 lengths to give Shiva his 10th career success.
