Grand Cross keeps showing his splendour

GRAND CROSS just loves to race and beating his rivals. At nine years, there is no stopping this Australian gelding despite his age.

The son of Fastnet Rock defied a punishing 60kg on his back to lead all the way in the Enrich Stakes A over 1200m here today to set a record 15th win on the local circuit. His career wins number is 17.

Bought for A$1.3 million as a yearling, GRAND CROSS was deemed a disappointment when he managed two minor wins and a third placing from five runs at two and three in Australia.

Sent over to Singapore, the gelding won four races at Kranji including a Class 2 race but never tested in group races.

Transferred to trainer Kevin Coetzee in Ipoh, GRAND CROSS has been a model of consistency although he was unplaced in the three big sprints in Malaysia in 2019. He has now chalked up 11 wins in the country.
