Fitzsimmons in pole position after treble

FOXSHIP brings up 100th win for trainer Tim Fitzsimmons in Singapore

With the Singapore racing season concluding in two weeks' time, Tim Fitzsimmons is in pole position to win his first trainer's premiership thanks to three winners at Kranji here today.

Wins with DEN OF THIEVES, RAISING SIXTY-ONE and FOXSHIP, all ridden by Manoel Nunes, pushed to tally to 62 and is now five winners clear of Donna Logan with just two racing days left.

Nunes, meanwhile, also scored on CASH COVE and QAIDOOM, to bring his tally to 77 wins and is already assured of the jockey's title, his first since 2016 when he rode 75 winners.

DEN OF THIEVES was winning for the third time after back-to-back wins at the tailend of last season and early this year.

FOXSHIP, with a third and two fourth placings in four starts back in Australia, made a winning Kranji debut, winning the Open Maiden event over 1100m.

FOXSHIP's success turned out to be milestone for the Australian. It's his 100th win in Singapore.

"It’s been an amazing year and to do it with Nunes today is really rewarding," said Fitzsimmons. "We make a great team. We work together so well. Vlad too, especially when Manoel was out."

"I have great owners and I’m just really happy. It’s probably been good for the last 18 months or so. It’s onwards and upwards as we have exciting horses and I can’t wait to build on what we have done so far."
