Posh maiden win for apprentice Jamil

SUPER POSH bounced back to winning form after nearly three years to earn a hard-fought win in the Class 5, Div 2 - 1000m handicap on the polytrack at Kranji here today to give newly-licensed apprentice Jamil Sarwi an early breakthrough in his career.

It was just the third ride for the Donna Logan apprentice.

SUPER POSH began his career on a winning note in 2018 and managed back-to-back wins the following year before he struggled to find the mark again although he was placed eight times since.

THE JUN set the pace on settling down with SUPER POSH keeping company on his outside. The latter swung wide making the turn into the straight. That's when THE JUN kicked clear.

SUPER POSH, however, began to close the gap once they straightened up. He caught up with the leader at the 200m and the pair fought stride-for-stride till the finish with SUPER POSH winning by a short head.
