Lim's Kosciuszko maintains unbeaten record

Passed in twice at the sales ring, LIM'S KOSCIUSZKO is now proving his worth in a sensational manner on the racetrack.

Promoted after his runaway win in Class 4 two months ago, the Australian gelding had to work harder this time to win the Class 3 - 1200m handicap by a neck at Kranji here today.

LIM'S KOSCIUSZKO is now unbeaten in five starts.

The son of Kermadec, winner of two Group 1 races (Doncaster Handicap and George Main Stakes), was passed in at the Karaka Yearling Sale and again at the NZ Ready To Run Sale (reserved price NZ$60,000).

"He’s not the finished product yet, I can get him better. He still has some improvement in terms of his looks and fitness, and the whole aspect as a racehorse," said trainer Dan Meagher.

"He’ll now go to Class 2. I have spotted a couple of races in late February, but I don’t want to run him in too many races either.

"He’s a horse who puts in a lot in his races, he puts in 110% each time he goes around. I want to keep him sparingly-raced."
