Lim's Kosciuszko stays unbeaten in seven

LIM'S KOSCIUSZKO kept his unbeaten record intact with another gutsy display in the Class 2 - 1200m handicap at Kranji here today.

Having won in Class 1 with a light impost (50kg) earlier in the month, the Australian gelding shouldered 54.5kg this time and the results was the same.

With regular partner Danny Beasley back in the saddle, LIM'S KOSCIUSZKO was challenged for the lead lead but once he kicked clear half way down the home stretch, it was going to take a very good horse to deny him victory.

GOLD STAR, though, was charging at him in the closing stages but LIM'S KOSCIUSZKO, who started odds-on, got home safely by half a length.

"He’s a horse who keeps doing his job so professionally. He’s very tough this horse and I’m not surprised he ran time," said Beasley. LIM’S KOSCIUSZKO stopped the clock at 1min. 8.65secs., half a second outside SPALATO’s record (long course) set in 2014.

"The only thing today was he got a break of two and a half weeks between races, and he did really well after his last win."
