New high for Jason Ong with four winners

Trainer Jason Ong marked the opening of races to owners and their guests with four winners at Kranji here today.

Singapore races have been held closed doors during the Covid-19 pandemic and will progressively welcome back spectators.

Ong started the day with a bang, taking the first two races with PER INCROWN, a recent transfer to his stables, and newcomer SURREY HILLS.

Koh Teck Huat, who rode PER INCROWN, went on to rode two more winners, HIGH VOLTAGE and THE WILD PRINCE for Ong. It was rare treble for the local jockey.

PER INCROWN was transferred to Ong despite winning his last start and has won three wins in 27 runs.

HIGH VOLTAGE, who had a win in 2020, was racing for the first time under Ong after a six-month break.

THE WILD PRINCE, bought by Ong as a two-year-old at the Ready To Run sale, was scoring for the fourth time for the trainer.
