Discretely Red battles to 10th win

DISCRETELY RED brought his winning tally to double digits with a hard-fought win in the Class 4 - 1300m handicap here today.

The New Zealand nine-year-old overcame a wide draw to settle second on the outside of the pacemaker PENDRAGON PRINCESS when the field settled down.

They fought stride-for-stride all the way from the home turn to the winning post. PENDRAGON PRINCESS kept DISCRETELY RED at bay until the latter got up in the last few strides to win by a short head.

Placed in his only run in New Zealand, DISCRETELY RED managed one win in Singapore but has scored nine times since moving to Malaysia.
