Diamond Rush on the double

It's back-to-back wins for DIAMOND RUSH after finally breaking through for his first local win last month.

The Patronize gelding had a win and two placings in eight runs in Western Australia but managed just one placing in eight starts in Singapore before he was sent over the Kevin Coetzee in Ipoh.

DIAMOND RUSH scored an easy win last Christmas Day in Penang and stepped it up once again in a Class 4 - 1200m handicap here today.

The six-year-old disputed the lead early hugging the rails but eased back to third rounding the home bend when D'GREAT COMMAND and KRATOS surged ahead.

DIAMOND RUSH had the final say when he swept past the two leaders at the 200m to win comfortably.
