Apprentice Yusoff Fadzli's season
just gets better and better in the past few months.
A treble astride CHARMINTON, THUNDER and the KING ARTHUR in the main event
today brought his tally to 21 for the season, moving him up to sixth in the
table.
CHARMINTON made it three wins (and twice second) in five starts with Yusoff
partnering in all his runs so far.
THUNDER picked up his fourth win in 34 starts today, with Yusoff riding him
for the first time.
KING ARTHUR, second to LIM'S KOSCIUSZKO in the Lion City Cup last August,
bounced back from his an subsequent unplaced run to win the Kranji Stakes A
event over 1200m to claim his seventh win of the season and ninth overall.
"It’s a pleasure to have a horse like this," said trainer
Donna Logan. "He just keeps stepping up every time. Yusoff and him get on
famously. (Yusoff rode KING ARTHUR in his last four wins.)
"But I thought he’s a little far off them and he has got
a bit of work to do today, but he’s just got that big heart and motor and
kept giving."
"I always knew the boy (Yusoff) could ride. He just
didn’t have the confidence and he hadn’t had the horsepower under him," she
said.
"He has the horsepower now, the confidence and he’s just
going ahead in leaps and bounds. I’m really pleased to have him in my
stable.
"He’s a great worker and a great asset."
