Big Doctor calling the shots in Malaysia

After having to endure one whole year without getting to the races after his arrival in Singapore, BIG DOCTOR is showing the stuff he is made of, being unbeaten in three starts since moving to Malaysia.

BIG DOCTOR landed in Singapore in late 2021 after three seasons in Australia where he won five races and was placed five times in 22 starts.

The son of Better Than Ready had one trial in early last year but never raced at Kranji.

Transferred to Asogan Thangaraju in Penang, BIG DOCTOR took just two months to get into shape for his first test and made an immediate impact, leading all the to win by three lengths in a Rapid Stakes A - 1200m race here two months ago.

Last month, the six-year-old had to dig deep to win a Banded 62-89 - 1200m sprint by a head, also on this track.

With apprentice Nuqman Faris Rozi in the saddle today, BIG DOCTOR took up his customary role as pacemaker but still proved too good, winning by 2 1/2 lengths in the Rapid Stakes A event over 1400m.
