Good Fight packs a
punch in Coronation Cup

GOOD FIGHT's phenomenal rise up the
ranks this season was rewarded with a handsome win in the RM150,000
Coronation Cup over 1600m here tpday.
The son of Super One started the season in Class 4, winning a 1275m handicap
on the No 2 track at Sungei Besi in February.
This was followed by three wins in Class 3 and a crack at the Selangor Gold
Cup (1600m) last September.
GOOD FIGHT finished a creditable sixth to PASIR PINJI, another galloper who
also started the season in Class 4, in the Selangor Gold Cup.
But the six-year-old, trained by Simon Dunderdale who also prepares PASIR
PINJI, bounced back winning the Sports Toto Supreme Challenge Cup (1400m)
two weeks ago.

— GOOD FIGHT was the first to break in the Open set-weight today.
LEOPARD ECLIPSE quickly took up the running with GOLDEN PAYOUT in tow. De
Souza settled GOOD FIGHT in third spot on the rails and they stayed
there until the top of the straight when they took a run on the inside of
LEOPARD ECLIPSE.
GOOD FIGHT surged to the front at the 300m and staved off the late challenge
of BLACK THORN, the Selangor Gold Cup winner last year, to win by 1 1/4
lengths.
Winner of just one race in nine starts in Singapore, GOOD FIGHT has now won
eight times in 17 outings in Malaysia.
