Georgetown bags second win of season

Nine-year-old GEORGETOWN landed his second win of the season when he fought hard to take the Class 4 - 1200m handicap here today.

Only four horses faced the starter after one was scratched on course but they made a race of it.

Pacemaker SUPER HERO was joined by FAST AND SUPER on his outside and GEORGETOWN on his inside passing the 400m and they fought all the way to finish.

FAST AND SUPER looked the winner at one stage but GROEGETOWN, ridden hard by Rueven Ravindra, eventually gained the upper hand to win by half a length.

A winner from nine starts in Singapore in 2017, the Darci Brahma gelding has picked up 10 more wins since moving to Malaysia.

Rueven went on to complete a double on KING POWER in the final and fifth race of the afternoon.

It was the gelding's third outing for trainer Stephen Cook having found one to beat in his last two starts. Overall, the eight-year-old has won five races.
