Greatham Boy bags Golden Horseshoe

Jockey Daniel Moor bid farewell to Singapore in style in his final meeting at Kranji here today when he piloted GREATHAM BOY to victory in the S$110,000 Singapore Golden Horseshoe.

The Stratosphere gelding had won his debut over 1100m on the polytrack last month and had no problem handling the turf track to claim the set-weight event for Two Year Olds.

Moor tucked GREATHAM BOY right behind the pace in third spot on settling down before putting in his claim to win by one length from SILO.

"He is a horse with good quality and he proved his worth today," said Moor who rode nine winners in his current three-month stint. "Everything went as planned in the race."

"He's a horse that's very focused right from the beginning," said trainer Michael Clements. "He showed us a lot of quality from the beginning and also in his trails in Australia and here."

Clements also saddled PACIFIC WARRIOR and PACIFIC EMPEROR to victory today and with the treble, he overtook Jason Ong to lead the table with 30 winners, one ahead of Ong.
