Since his return from Singapore,
PERFECT has an enviable record of finishing first or second in all his nine
starts thus far.
The Australian gelding arrived unraced in Malaysia in 2018 but after
spending seven months here without racing, headed down south where he
registered five wins in 37 runs from 2019 till the middle of last year.
Just two months after his return, PERFECT scored first-up in a Class 5 -
1275m sprint on the No 2 track at Sungei Besi. After that, he chalked up two
wins and five seconds in Class 4 before tackling the Supreme C event over
1400m here today.
GOOD FIGHT, with three wins in his last seven starts since moving here from
Singapore, set the pace on settling down.
Rueven Ravindran, who has scored twice on the son of Playing God prior,
settled PERFECT nicely behind the leader in fourth spot till the home turn.
Rueven switched PERFECT out to go after GOOD FIGHT at the top of the
straight. PERFECT ranged alongside GOOD FIGHT at the 200m and the pair drew
away from the rest to it fight out, with PERFECT winning by 1 1/4 lengths.
"He is a very nice horse and has performed consistently in Malaysia so far,"
said trainer
Siva Kumar D.Subramaniam. "Jockey rode to
instructions and I would like to thank Buffalo Stable for trusting me with
the horse."
"The horse never disappointed since arriving in Malaysia," said Rueven. "He
is a nice horse and is definitely heading for the higher classes."
