Teochew Kid no pushover in Enrich Stakes

After missing the whole of last year due to injury, TEOCHEW KID is hitting the best form of his career with three wins from five starts thus far this season.

The Snitzel gelding had a win and two placings in six runs at three and was unplaced in one starts at four before coming to Malaysia.

He showed his potential with a first-up third in late 2021 but after another unplaced run, was out of action for 15 months.

After a promising run in his comeback early this season, the Australian gelding scored back-to-back wins over 1200m and 1400m in Class 4, after which he was rested for four months.

Prepared by veteran trainer Leong Poh Keong, TEOCHEW KID stepped up a class here last month when he finished third to CHINA CAPTAIN in an Enrich Stakes A over 1300m.

The seven-year-old stepped up on that effort to beat three rivals in a similar event today over 1400m.
