Win for Arc Triumph after good Trophy run

ARC TRIUMPH stepped up on a good showing in the Penang Sprint Trophy two weeks ago to win the Cosmo B event over 1200m here today.

In the Sprint Trophy run over 1400m, the Showcasing entire shot to the front in the back straight and tried to lead the way from there.

ARC TRIUMPH then came under pressure in the home stretch and faded to finish sixth to BERRY BLISS.

Ridden by Jackson Low who had scored twice on him previously, ARC TRIUMPH took command in the back straight and never surrendered his lead again, winning by two lengths.

It was his fifth win in Malaysia, adding to six victories achieved in Singapore for the nine-year-old.

Meanwhile, jockey Aizat Abdul Malik enjoyed his best meeting when he booted home three winners, starting with STAR INVINCIBLE who registered his seventh win in the MRA.

Aizat brought up a double when he piloted YULONG DREAM to win a Class 5 - 1400m handicap, the gelding's fifth win in Malaysia after drawing a blank at Kranji. He was a winner in Ireland before landing in Singapore.

Aizat wound up the afternoon with an easy win astride SKYLIGHT on the final event. Unplaced in five starts in Singapore, the mare has now won three of four starts in Malaysia.
