Second Day,  Sunday,  13 December 2015

 RACE 1:  CLASS 5 - 1200M

ROYAL TUDOR, which was down 18kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

CASPER (App S Shafrizal) was slow to begin.

The shadow-roll on HALO IMAGE (App M Hanif) broke during the running and as a result, was interfering with the vision of HALO IMAGE’s right eye. HALO IMAGE dipped at approximately the 300m mark. Trainer PK Leong was fined RM250 for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for using a faulty shadow-roll.

Jockey SS Vanan, the rider of ROYAL TUDOR reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of ROYAL TUDOR revealed no obvious abnormality.

Trainer Kevin Coetzee was questioned regarding the improved performance of TAGORE (App J Daniel) as opposed to the gelding’s run on the 15 November 2015. Trainer Kevin Coetzee explained that this horse was racing down a class as opposed to Class 4 in its previous run and he felt that today’s field was weaker. He also explained that run was the first for him and he was of the opinion that TAGORE is better suited for racing around the turn. Trainer Kevin Coetzee’s attention was drawn to the rules pertaining to ‘in-and-out’ running.

A post-race veterinary examination of BELWINS (App I Amirul) revealed no obvious abnormality. BELWINS was impounded.

 RACE 2:  CLASS 5 - 1200M

BEYOND WEALTH, which was up 21kgs, and VALHALLA, which was down 16kgs in body weight since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were passed fit to start.

SMALL TIGER (App KL Lee) was examined behind the barriers and passed fit to start.

SMALL TIGER was slow to begin.

VALHALLA (App KC Wong) steadied off the heels of ONWATS APP (App I Amirul) at approximately the 900m mark.

Entering the home straight, SEA BUTTERFLY (J Shankar) stumbled.

Jockey J Shankar, the rider of SEA BUTTERFLY reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of SEA BUTTERFLY revealed that the gelding had returned with respiratory distress and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000m/vet) before being declared to race again.

A post-race veterinary examination of ONWATS APP revealed no obvious abnormality. ONWATS APP was impounded.

 RACE 3:  ENRICH STAKES A - 1200M

GREAT SCOTT dislodged App KC Wong enroute to the barriers, was apprehended, examined by the Club Veterinary Surgeon behind the barriers and passed fit to start.

GREAT SCOTT jumped awkwardly inwards, making contact with TEN SENSE WIN (M Wepner).

Approaching the 1100m mark crossing, SPEEDY CAT ducked outwards sharply, thereafter, shifted in abruptly, unbalancing and dislodging App SU Lim. App SU Lim, who was exempted from weighing-in, was subsequently examined by the Club Medical Officer and passed fit to continue riding. SPEEDY CAT will be required to pass a test (1000m/vet) before being declared to race again.

GREAT SCOTT steadied off the heels of LITTLE BUT FIERCE (App AK Lim) at the 1000m mark, which was carried inwards by BLACK AND WHITE (App M Hanif).

NICEONE (App KC Tham), which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000m/vet) before being declared to race again.

A post-race veterinary examination of BLACK AND WHITE and NICEONE revealed no obvious abnormality. BLACK AND WHITE was impounded.

 RACE 4:  ENRICH STAKES A - 1200M

HALO INSPIRE, which was down 16kgs, and CANDY CRUSH, which was down 24kgs in body weight since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were passed fit to start.

BIG LIGHTNING (J Shankar) shifted its near-fore plate whilst parading and had to be re-shod.

HALO INSPIRE (App SU Lim) was slow into stride.

MONEY MACHINE (J Low) showed no early pace despite being urged along by its rider. A post-race veterinary examination of MONEY MACHINE revealed no obvious abnormality.

Jockey Shankar, the rider of BIG LIGHTNING eased his mount down over the final 100m, as he felt there was something amiss with his mount. A post-race veterinary examination of BIG LIGHTNING revealed that the gelding had returned with heat stress and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000m/vet) before being declared to race again.

The state of track was upgraded to "Yielding" after the running of this race.

 RACE 5:  ENRICH STAKES A PLUS - 1800M

SUPER CROWN, a course scratching as it had sustained bruised sole both fore, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

GLORY AGE (J De Souza) was held up for a clear run over the concluding stages.

Post-race veterinary examinations of STAR QUALITY (App KC Wong) and GLORY AGE revealed no obvious abnormality.

 RACE 6:  CLASS 4 - 1400M

BULLDOG’S PRIDE, which was down 16kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

HELLO SAYANG (App KC Wong) was slow to begin.

MARATHON LAD (J Chuah), which stood and lost considerable ground, will be required to pass one starting stall test before being declared to race again.

Racing up to the 200m mark, GET THE LOTSKI (WK Yan) shifted outwards, making contact with ACOUSTIC (App SU Lim).

BULLDOG’S PRIDE (J Shankar) and MARATHON LAD, which raced poorly, will each be required to pass a test (1000m/vet) before being declared to race again.

Post-race veterinary examinations of BULLDOG’S PRIDE and MARATHON LAD revealed no obvious abnormality.
