INQUIRY RELATING TO A POST-RACE URINE SAMPLE CODED "20465" TAKEN FROM THE HORSE "ALL WEALTH" WHICH RACED IN RACE 3 (R1451) ON SATURDAY, 5 DECEMBER 2015, SELANGOR TURF CLUB DECEMBER MEETING 2015 AND RETURNED POSITIVE TO "3-HYDROXY-N-METHYLMORPHINAN", WHICH IS A PROHIBITED SUBSTANCE IN TERMS OF MRA RULES

The Stewards concluded an inquiry into the above matter on 12 January 2016 at the Selangor Turf Club, and evidence was taken from Trainer Anna Scott, the trainer of ALL WEALTH.

Trainer A Scott pleaded guilty to a charge under MRA Rule 134(6)(a) as read with MRA Rule 134(13) and punishable under MRA Rule 134(7) in that she was the trainer and person responsible for presenting and racing the horse ALL WEALTH which finished ninth in Race 3 (R1451) on Saturday, 5 December 2015 at the Selangor Turf Club, and its post race urine sample subsequently returned positive to "3-Hydroxy-N-Methylmorphinan", a prohibited substance under MRA Rules.

In addition, in terms of MRA Rule 134(11), ALL WEALTH was disqualified from the race and the results will be amended accordingly.

He also stated that he placed the mare under pressure from the 500m but it failed to respond to his riding. He further explained that BEAUTIFUL BABY had a tendency to lay inwards in the home straight which resulted in him having to straighten the mare.

He further explained that the trainer advised him to use the horse up early and reserve all energy in the home straight as in his opinion, it was one-paced. Trainer R Lines stated that he was happy with the tactics.

The Stewards, after viewing the official patrol films and acting on their observations, noted their comments for future reference and took no action.

RACE 5 (R55), SUNDAY, 10 JANUARY 2016, SELANGOR TURF CLUB JANUARY MEETING 2016
