 RACE 1:  MAIDEN - 1000M (POLYTRACK)

REMEMBER ME (M Zaki) was slow to begin.

MASTER BANGER (S John), which jumped away awkwardly, lost ground on jumping when crowded between SMOOTHLY (App CC Wong) and ASTRO MAN (M Kellady), which jumped awkwardly inwards.

App Wong, the rider of SMOOTHLY, momentarily lost his use of the stirrup iron on jumping.

NATURAL IMPULSE (A Da Silva) and STAR WARRIOR (App Z Zuriman) bumped on jumping.

Passing the 700m, SMOOTHLY steadied off the heels of NATURAL IMPULSE, which shifted inwards. This resulted in AGUILA AZTECA (App CK Ng), which was racing back to the inside of SMOOTHLY, having to be steadied inwards and momentarily crowding REMEMBER ME.

Approaching the 600m, AGUILA AZTECA had to be eased after hanging outwards and becoming awkwardly placed on the heels of ASTRO MAN, which rolled inwards marginally.

MASTER BANGER had a tendency to lay outwards in the straight.

ELEGENT (App K A’Isisuhairi) laid outwards under pressure over the final 100m.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on AGUILA AZTECA which revealed no apparent abnormality.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on STAR WARRIOR which revealed that the horse returned lame off-hind. STAR WARRIOR will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

 RACE 2:  RESTRICTED MAIDEN - 1100M (POLYTRACK)

BULLISH LUCK (App CC Wong) was crowded on jumping between STARSHINE (A Da Silva), which jumped awkwardly inwards and BALKAN CHALLENGER (A Munro), which jumped awkwardly outwards.

SING ENERGY (App R Rueven) and BIG GUARDIAN (I Saifudin) bumped on jumping. Shortly after, SING ENERGY lost ground after being bumped heavily onto the hindquarters of LITTLE BIG MAN (M Rodd) when BIG GUARDIAN was crowded outwards by NOVA EAGLE (App Y Salim), which jumped awkwardly outwards.

Shortly after passing the 800m, BALKAN CHALLENGER lost ground when racing tight to the inside of STARSHINE, which laid inwards.

BULLISH LUCK, which laid outwards under pressure near the 300m, made contact with LITTLE BIG MAN over the concluding stages. App Wong was subsequently shown the film of the incident and warned to exercise greater care when shifting ground in future.

 RACE 3:  RESTRICTED MAIDEN - 1200M (POLYTRACK)

ROAN RANGER (A Munro) and AMI ELEVEN (R Woodworth) were both severely crowded on jumping between CANNON KING (App N Alfian) and BRANKSOME (App WS Chan), which jumped awkwardly inwards and REAL HERO (App TR Barnabas) and LADY SHARK (App T See), which jumped awkwardly outwards. This resulted in both ROAN RANGER and AMI ELEVEN losing ground. BRANKSOME continued to shift inwards shortly after the start making contact with CANNON KING, which in turn bumped the hindquarters of REAL HERO.

Near the 1100m, SINGLE STAR (B Vorster) and BRANKSOME made contact.

OCTIVIA (App R Rueven) was held up and unable to improve between the 600m and the 400m.

CANNON KING laid inwards in the early part of the straight.

LADY SHARK and AMI ELEVEN both made the turn into the straight wide and continued to lay outwards over the final 400m.

BRANKSOME laid outwards under pressure over the final 200m.

App Rueven, the rider of OCTIVIA, was fined a sum of S$500 under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for dropping his whip near the 100m.

Subsequent veterinary examinations were requested on both LADY SHARK and AMI ELEVEN which revealed no apparent abnormality.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on HORAZ SAMOSIR (App K Toh) which revealed that the horse returned with a wound on its off-fore. HORAZ SAMOSIR will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

 RACE 4:  RDA CUP
                 BENCHMARK 61 - 1800M (POLYTRACK)

VERGLATICA (App K A’Isisuhairi) jumped away awkwardly.

RAPIDO STAR (App TR Barnabas) was crowded on jumping between OVER EASY (App R Firdhaus) and TANGIBLE ASSETS (A Munro), which jumped inwards.

BILLY BRITAIN (A Da Silva) was slow to begin.

RAPIDO STAR proved difficult to settle in the early stages.

Near the 300m, Jockey CW Brown, the rider of TIME ODYSSEY, dropped his whip. He was subsequently warned that a repetition of dropping his whip may lead to a penalty being imposed in future.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on RAPIDO STAR which revealed no apparent abnormality. RAPIDO STAR, which raced poorly, will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

All riders returned to scale an average of 1kg overweight due to the weather conditions.

 RACE 5:  THE BRITISH CLUB GALLOPER 2015
                 CLASS 4, DIV 2 - 1200M (POLYTRACK)

QUEEN’S SEVEN (App K A’Isisuhairi) jumped away awkwardly.

WEE MONSTER (App Y Salim) and RAVOUX (App Y Ruzaili) were both crowded on jumping between HIGH COUNCIL (M Kellady), which jumped awkwardly inwards and LAKE HUKA (M Rodd), which jumped awkwardly outwards.

ROSADO (App CS Chin), which was slow into stride after jumping away awkwardly, had to be steadied off the heels of SHIPPING FORECAST (App CC Wong) shortly after the start when that gelding rolled outwards.

LAKE HUKA was held up and unable to improve between the 500m and the 300m.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on MIGHTY MAN (CW Brown) which revealed that the horse returned lame off-fore. MIGHTY MAN will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

 RACE 6:  CLASS 5 - 1700M (POLYTRACK)

VITALLY SECRET (App R Hasri), which was restless in the barrier, was slow to begin after jumping away awkwardly. Trainer S Burridge was advised that a warning has been placed on VITALLY SECRET regarding its barrier manners and to take steps to improve them or action may be taken in future.

GALLANT HEIGHTS (App J See) jumped awkwardly outwards at the start carrying GIORGIO (App R Sazali) out onto OUR RIVER DANCER (App CK Ng).

BREAKING VAULTS (App K Toh) laid outwards making the turn near the 1400m.

Shortly after passing the 1200m, VITALLY SECRET got its head up when being steadied off the heels of NOVEMBER SUCCESS (App H Syafiq), which shifted inwards after racing up onto the heels of OUR RIVER DANCER. PEREGRINE FALCON (TH Koh), which was racing to the inside of OUR RIVER DANCER, also had to be steadied.

BLACK BEAN (App N Nurshahril) and GIORGIO both raced wide throughout.

GENERAL CONATUS (App R Rueven) lost its position when held up between the 800m and the 400m.

PERCIUS (App P Dellorto), which had difficulty obtaining clear running near the 300m, had to be eased approaching the 200m, when crowded between OUR RIVER DANCER and BREAKING VAULTS, which rolled inwards.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on OUR RIVER DANCER which revealed no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 7:  CLASS 4 - 1100M (POLYTRACK)

Permission was granted for Jockey B Vorster to replace Jockey CW Brown on LIM’S CASINO as the latter was unable to make the weight. Jockey Brown was subsequently fined a sum of S$200 in terms of MRA Rule 107(9).

MASTER DRAGON (App R Rueven), which was fractious in the barrier resulting in it being slow to begin and losing considerable ground on jumping, will be required to pass one starting stall test prior to being declared to race again in terms of MRA Rule 78(2).

LIM’S BATTLE (KB Soo) and LIM’S CASINO bumped on jumping.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on LIGN EM UP (J Powell) which revealed that the horse returned having bled. In terms of MRA Rule 92(3), it will not be permitted to canter or gallop on the main training tracks of any racecourse for a period of two months, and may not start in any race for a period of three months, and then only after having satisfactorily passed a bleeder’s test.

Trainer D Koh, when questioned regarding the apparent improved performance of RISING EMPIRE (TH Koh), stated that the gelding has been freshened up since its most recent start, adding that RISING EMPIRE had worked well in the lead up to this race. He further added that RISING EMPIRE carried a light weight and his opinion was suited by the quick tempo in the early and middle stages. His explanation was noted.

 RACE 8:  CLASS 5, DIV 2 - 1200M (POLYTRACK)

To avoid a clash with the start times of overseas simulcast races which had been rescheduled, this race was put back five minutes and rescheduled to start at 1645Hrs.

TIME AFTER TIME (A Munro) was slow to begin after jumping away awkwardly.

BIG BANG KING (App R Rueven) was crowded on jumping between TIME AFTER TIME, which jumped inwards and ROYAL FLUSH (App T See), which shifted outwards abruptly.

RAINBOW STAR (App WS Chan) jumped away awkwardly and in so doing, made contact with KTRONIC (App J See).

Shortly after the start, FAT FARRAND (M Zaki) and I-SCREAM NOW (App K Toh) made contact.

TIME AFTER TIME was held up and unable to improve approaching the turn into the straight.

LAM EDITION (App CC Wong) had to be taken outwards approaching the 200m in order to obtain clear running.

Approaching the 100m, CASSIS OOLONG (App M Jailani) raced tight for a short distance between KTRONIC and TOOBIGTOFAIL (TH Koh), which rolled outwards.

 RACE 9:  VICTORIA RACING CLUB TROPHY
                 CLASS 3 - 1200M (POLYTRACK)

Due to a delay in the start time of Race 8, this race was put back five minutes and rescheduled to start at 1720Hrs.

SPRING THUNDER (App R Sazali) was slow into stride.

Near the 1100m, LIM’S RALLY (KB Soo) eased off the heels of CORONET PEAK (App CC Wong), which was carried inwards by NOVA WARRIOR (App Z Zuriman).

Near the 600m, CASTOR (App T See) eased when racing tight to the inside of CORONET PEAK.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on HADES (A Munro) which revealed that the horse returned having bled. In terms of MRA Rule 92(3), it will not be permitted to canter or gallop on the main training tracks of any racecourse for a period of two months, and may not start in any race for a period of three months, and then only after having satisfactorily passed a bleeder’s test.

 RACE 10:  KRANJI STAKES D - 1200M (POLYTRACK)

Due to a delay in the start time of Race 9, this race was put back five minutes and rescheduled to start at 1755Hrs.

DUTY FREE (App T See), which was slow to begin after jumping away awkwardly, was reluctant to stride out in the early stages.

MORALES (App K A’Isisuhairi) and BIG MAN (M Kellady) bumped on jumping.

POWER LIN (App CC Wong) shifted outwards on jumping carrying MIGHTY KENNY (B Vorster) out onto SCIENCE FICTION (CW Brown), which in turn bumped SOON YI (TH Koh) onto EXQUISITELY SWEET (S John), which made contact with the hindquarters of LUCKY STRATEGY (M Rodd), resulting in that gelding making contact with MY REACH (A Munro). As a result of this incident, EXQUISITELY SWEET checked and lost ground.

Near the 1000m, A LOT IN HAND (M Au) shifted outwards away from the heels of BIG MAN and in so doing, bumped SAVAGE STORM (App WS Chan) out onto MORALES.

Passing the 900m, SAVAGE STORM was buffeted for a number of strides when racing between MORALES and A LOT IN HAND.

POWER LIN and MIGHTY KENNY both raced wide throughout.

Approaching the 600m, DUTY FREE checked after racing up onto the heels of SAVAGE STORM.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on MIGHTY KENNY which revealed no apparent abnormality.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on A LOT IN HAND which revealed that the horse returned having bled.  RACE 11:  CLASS 4, DIV 1 - 1200M (POLYTRACK)

Permission was granted for Jockey B Vorster to replace Jockey CW Brown on LIKA TIGER as the latter was unable to make the weight.

Due to a delay in the start time of Race 10, this race was put back five minutes and rescheduled to start at 1825Hrs.

After arriving at the barrier, ABOVE THE SKYLINE (R Woodworth) had its saddle readjusted.

WHITE COFFEE (I Saifudin) was slow into stride.

CACTUS JACK (M Rodd) jumped awkwardly inwards and bumped CONSTANCE’S SPIRIT (A Munro) in onto the heels of FEDERER (J Powell), resulting in CONSTANCE’S SPIRIT having to be eased.

Shortly after the start, ABOVE THE SKYLINE had to be steadied to avoid the heels of MAPLE STAR (A Da Silva), which shifted outwards.

MR WHITAKER (App R Rueven), HEE’S EGO (App CK Ng) and CONSTANCE’S SPIRIT all raced wide throughout.

WAKINO NEXUS (App K A’Isisuhairi) and ABOVE THE SKYLINE were both held up and unable to improve between the 700m and the 400m.

Shortly after passing the 400m, ABOVE THE SKYLINE had to be eased off the heels of MAPLE STAR, which shifted outwards abruptly when tiring.

Approaching the 200m, WAKINO NEXUS was disappointed for a run to the inside of LIKA TIGER, which shifted inwards and away from CONSTANCE’S SPIRIT.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on FEDERER which revealed no apparent abnormality.

SUNDAY, 15 NOVEMBER 2015:

RACE 2 [TF1354]

At the conclusion of an inquiry on Sunday, 06 December 2015, Jockey B Vorster, the rider of WARSHIP, was found guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding WARSPIRIT in Race 2 at the Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Sunday, 15 November 2015, near the 800m, he allowed his mount to shift inwards, when insufficiently clear, thereby crowding ROYAL EASTER (CW Brown) and DEBT COLLECTOR (M Rodd), resulting in DEBT COLLECTOR clipping the heels of BAIL OUT (E Aslam) and dislodging its rider. When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his record and the degree of interference and carelessness. Jockey Vorster was suspended from riding in races with effect from Monday, 07 December 2015 to Wednesday, 06 January 2016 both dates inclusive (a period of one month) and was advised of his right of appeal.

FRIDAY, 27 NOVEMBER 2015:

RACE 4 [TF1406]

On Sunday, 6 December 2015, the Stewards concluded an Inquiry into the reasons for SATELLITE POWER (N Juglall) having to ease when racing to the inside of WESTERN BOSS (App J See). It was established that near the 800m, SATELLITE POWER eased to avoid the heels of WESTERN BOSS, which shifted inwards. In the circumstances, no blame could be attributed to any rider and as such, no further action was taken. However, App J See was warned and advised that he must exercise greater care when shifting ground in future.
