 RACE 1:  KRANJI STAKES D, DIV 2 - 1200M (POLYTRACK)

After arriving at the barrier, GOLDEN MILE (CW Brown) had its saddle readjusted.

MOLLY BROWNE (M Nunes) was slow to begin after jumping away awkwardly and making contact with GOLDEN MILE.

EXQUISITELY SWEET (S John) was slow to begin.

HIKO YUNIKON (A Munro) and TIM (A Da Silva) bumped on jumping.

BAAB AL NASR (App R Firdhaus) and SOON YI (TH Koh) bumped on jumping.

Shortly after the start, EFFORTLESS (M Kellady) shifted outwards abruptly. EFFORTLESS then continued to roll outwards, resulting in BAAB AL NASR crowding SOON YI onto HIKO YUNIKON, with SOON YI being buffeted between these two horses.

Approaching the 800m, HIKO YUNIKON commenced to race keenly and had to be eased off the heels of SOON YI.

HIKO YUNIKON was held up and unable to improve between the 600m and the 500m.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on GOLDEN MILE which revealed no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 2:  CLASS 5, DIV 1 - 1200M (POLYTRACK)

STOCK BROKER (CW Brown) was restless in the barrier. Trainer M Freedman was advised that a warning has been placed on STOCK BROKER regarding its barrier manners and to take steps to improve them or action may be taken in future.

SUGARTIME JAZZ (O Chavez) jumped away awkwardly and shifted inwards abruptly, severely crowding GREAT LIGHT (J Powell) onto the hindquarters of FAT FARRAND (TH Koh).

HARDCORE ROCK (App M Jailani) was slow to begin after jumping away awkwardly.

LUCKY EIGHTY EIGHT (App MM Firdaus) was slow to begin.

SO SIMPLE (App J See) was crowded on jumping between SUPERB SEVEN (M Nunes) and BEAT TO QUARTERS (App CC Wong).

Shortly after the start, LUCKY EIGHTY EIGHT shifted inwards away from TROPICAL FOREST (E Aslam), which rolled inwards.

Shortly after the start, STOCK BROKER lost ground when crowded between TROPICAL FOREST and FAT FARRAND, which shifted inwards. Jockey Koh was subsequently shown the film of the incident and warned to exercise greater care when shifting ground in future.

Near the 900m, SUPERB SEVEN eased when crowded for racing room between SUGARTIME JAZZ and SO SIMPLE, which shifted inwards. App J See was subsequently shown the film of the incident and warned to exercise greater care when shifting ground in future.

Approaching the turn into the straight, SUGARTIME JAZZ laid outwards when awkwardly placed on the heels of SO SIMPLE.

Near the 300m, Jockey A Da Silva, the rider of ANAK PENANG, had his whip knocked out of his hand when racing tight on the outside of SUGARTIME JAZZ.

Approaching the 200m, TROPICAL FOREST eased off the heels of SUGARTIME JAZZ, which shifted inwards under pressure. Jockey Chavez was subsequently shown the film of the incident and warned to exercise greater care when shifting ground in future.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on STOCK BROKER which revealed no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 3:  KRANJI STAKES D - 1900M (POLYTRACK)

After arriving at the barrier, SCHILTRON (M Nunes) and JOHNNY HATES JAZZ (N Juglall) both had their saddles readjusted.

CHEETAH KING (App WT Chung) was crowded on jumping between DANNY (App R Rueven), which jumped inwards and BLACK FRIDAY (K Fujii), which jumped outwards.

DANNY and FOREVER BEST (S John) were both difficult to settle in the early stages.

Shortly after passing the 800m, DANNY eased off the heels of CHEETAH KING after being carried outwards slightly by BILLY BRITAIN (App CC Wong) and SCHILTRON.

Near the 700m, BILLY BRITAIN blundered when racing between SCHILTRON and CHEETAH KING. An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a date to be fixed.

App Chung, the rider of CHEETAH KING, was warned regarding his whip use forward of the shoulder in the straight.

The Farrier reported that BLACK FRIDAY returned having cast its near-fore plate.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on SCHILTRON which revealed that the horse returned with a shallow wound on its off-hock.

 RACE 4:  CLASS 4 - 1000M (POLYTRACK)

App J See and Jockey A Munro, the riders of FAITHFULLY and LUCKY SIX respectively, were both warned and reminded of their obligations to present themselves on time in the Parade Ring in future.

SING ROULETTE (App WT Chung) was slow to begin after jumping away awkwardly.

SMART PEOPLE (O Chavez) and FAITHFULLY both raced wide throughout.

Shortly after making the turn into the straight, Jockey Nunes, the rider of THE COSMOS, had to momentarily readjust his off-side stirrup iron.

RUM N RAISINS (S Sam) had to be taken outwards approaching the 300m in order to obtain clear running.

THE COSMOS (M Nunes) and Q NINE MAC (S John) brushed on a number of occasions between the 300m and the 100m.

 RACE 5:  KRANJI STAKES 4, DIV 3 - 1200M (POLYTRACK)

BLACK MAMBA (App T See) and GOLDEN PASTURE (App R Rueven), which were both fractious in the barriers, will each be required to pass one starting stall test prior to being declared to race again in terms of MRA Rule 78(2).

LIKA TIGER (M Rodd) jumped away awkwardly.

SAVAGE STORM (App WS Chan) was crowded on jumping between BLACK MAMBA and ROMA (App M Jailani), which jumped awkwardly inwards. This resulted in SAVAGE STORM making contact with BLACK MAMBA, which then shifted inwards crowding LIKA TIGER, which had to be checked.

YOU DA ONE (CW Brown) got its head up when being steadied near the 1000m.

Shortly after passing the 800m, LIKA TIGER had to be eased off the heels of YOU DA ONE, which shifted inwards, resulting in it rolling outwards and becoming awkwardly placed on the heels of YOU DA ONE. LIKA TIGER then continued to shift outwards making contact with MY REACH (A Munro).

LIKA TIGER was held up and unable to improve between the 500m and the 300m.

Shortly after passing the 200m, KING OPERA (App J See) had to be taken inwards after being brushed by LIKA TIGER and becoming awkwardly placed on the heels of GOLDEN PASTURE, which commenced to give ground.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on KING OPERA which revealed no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 6:  CLASS 5, DIV 2 - 1200M (POLYTRACK)

ON TWISTTER (App Y Salim), which was fractious in the barrier, was taken out, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded. ON TWISTTER will be required to pass one starting stall test prior to being declared to race again in terms of MRA Rule 78(2).

Prior to the ‘All Clear’ being given, Jockey R Woodworth, the rider of BARNBURGH LAD, requested to view the race video with a view to considering lodging an objection. After viewing the video, Jockey Woodworth believed that there was insufficient grounds to lodge the objection and the ‘All Clear’ was declared.

ROAN RANGER (App R Rueven) jumped extremely awkwardly inwards making heavy contact with the hindquarters of SPECTA DILEMMA (App Z Zuriman).

PURE WHITE (K Fujii) jumped awkwardly outwards and bumped JACKPOT (E Aslam) out onto CAPTAIN CLASSIQUE (M Nunes).

TIME AFTER TIME (A Munro) and ON TWISTTER bumped on jumping.

For the majority of the homestraight, SPECTA DILEMMA shifted outwards under pressure.

After passing the 100m, JACKPOT was brushed on a couple of occasions by PURE WHITE, which was carried inwards slightly by BARNBURGH LAD.

 RACE 7:  BENCHMARK 83 - 1100M (POLYTRACK)

Due to the delay in the ‘All Clear’ being declared in Race 6 resulting from Jockey R Woodworth viewing the race video when considering whether to lodge an objection, this race was put back five minutes and rescheduled to start at 2125Hrs.

PIONEER SEVEN (App CC Wong) and FRAAJILISTIC (M Rodd) were both slow to begin.

Shortly after passing the 300m, Jockey C Brown, the rider of GREAT SUN, commenced to ease his mount out of the race. The Veterinary Surgeon subsequently reported that the horse returned having bled. In terms of MRA Rule 92(3), it will not be permitted to canter or gallop on the main training tracks of any racecourse for a period of two months, and may not start in any race for a period of three months, and then only after having satisfactorily passed a bleeder’s test.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on PIONEER SEVEN which revealed no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 8:  KRANJI STAKES D, DIV 1 - 1200M (POLYTRACK)

Trainer L Dragon was fined a sum of S$50 in terms of MRA Rule 65(5)(c) for failing to produce the correct colours on DYNASTY KNIGHT (App T See).

Due to a delay in the start time of Race 7, this race was put back five minutes and rescheduled to start at 2155Hrs.

Acting on veterinary advice that PERFECT CHALLENGER (App J See) was found to be lame off-fore, the Panel of Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 2128Hrs. In terms of MRA Regulation 24.2, it must be presented to an Official Veterinary Surgeon prior to being declared to race again.

JOE SWIPER (App WS Chan) jumped awkwardly outwards and bumped the hindquarters of JUBILATION (J Powell), unbalancing that gelding.

DYNASTY KNIGHT, which began awkwardly, was crowded shortly after the start between MAPLE STAR (App CC Wong) and ABOVE THE SKYLINE (R Woodworth), which shifted outwards.

Approaching the 800m, MAPLE STAR and JUBILATION bumped on a couple of occasions.

Approaching the 700m, DYNASTY KNIGHT had to be eased after racing up onto the heels of ABOVE THE SKYLINE.

Making the turn into the straight, SCIENCE FICTION (CW Brown) had to be taken outwards to obtain clear running.

Subsequent veterinary examinations were requested on both ROYAL STYLE (O Chavez) and DYNASTY KNIGHT which revealed no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 9:  BENCHMARK 67 - 1200M (POLYTRACK)

Due to a delay in the start time of Race 8, this race was put back five minutes and rescheduled to start at 2225Hrs.

RIDE OF VALKYRIES (A Da Silva) jumped awkwardly inwards at the start making contact with EAGLE STORM (E Aslam).

Shortly after the start, NOVA STRIKE (M Nunes) eased to avoid the heels of SCOUT DONE (TH Koh), which rolled inwards.

In the early part of the homestraight, NOVA STRIKE, which had a tendency to lay outwards, bumped CORONET PEAK (App CC Wong) on a few occasions.

CORONET PEAK raced wide throughout.

The Veterinary Surgeon reported that TAFFETAS (K A’Isisuhairi) had returned with the saddle having slipped back during the running of the race.

Jockey A’Isisuhairi reported that TAFFETAS was not striding out freely.  A subsequent veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality.

Subsequent veterinary examinations were requested on both NOVA STRIKE and EATONS GOLD (O Chavez) which revealed no apparent abnormality.
