Friday,  19 February 2016

 RACE 1:  MAIDEN, DIV 2 - 1600M

SPEED CRAFT (O Chavez) and NOVA GLORY (M Zaki) made contact on jumping.

MAGIC PAINT (A DA Silva) jumped awkwardly outwards and bumped ARCHER COMPANY (E Chaves), which jumped inwards.

Shortly after the start, RAINBOW WARRIOR (App CC Wong) shifted outwards and bumped ROYAL EXPLORER (B Vorster) out onto MAGIC PAINT.

QUEEN’S ABEJA (App M Jailani), which raced wide throughout, raced keenly in the backstraight.

DASHING JACK (I Azhar) raced wide throughout.

After passing the 300m, AMISTAD (A Munro) shifted outwards when improving, and in so doing bumped ARCHER COMPANY and carried that gelding outwards.

AMISTAD had difficulty obtaining clear running over the final 100m.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on BERNARD’S FIGHTER (TH Koh) which revealed no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 2:  RESTRICTED MAIDEN - 1200M (POLYTRACK)

ELITE STAR (E Chaves) and MOONRAKER (App CC Wong) were both slow into stride.

NOVA LEGEND (App N Nurshahril) jumped awkwardly inwards and bumped FLYING SHADOW (S John). FLYING SHADOW and MOONRAKER, were then crowded for room between NOVA LEGEND and NOVA MASTER (D Beasley).

NOVA MASTER which raced wide throughout, veered outwards abruptly approaching the 800m.

SUPERTEN (A Munro) hung outwards making the turn near the 700m and in so doing, carried FLYING SHADOW wider on the track.

WARSHIP (B Vorster) raced wide throughout.

The Farrier reported that SUPERTEN returned having cast its near-fore plate.

 RACE 3:  KRANJI STAKES C - 1600M

Trainer S Burridge was fined a sum of S$200 in terms of MRA Rule 35(1) in that he incorrectly declared Jockey D Beasley instead of App CC Wong on BAAB AL NASR and incorrectly declared App CC Wong instead of Jockey D Beasley on LIM’S AFFECTION within the prescribed time at declarations.

Acting on veterinary advice that EMPRESS WU (TH Koh) was found to be lame off-fore, the Panel of Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 1919Hrs. In terms of MRA Regulation 24.2, it must be presented to an Official Veterinary Surgeon prior to being declared to race again.

LIM’S AFFECTION was slow to begin.

Near the 1400m, RIDE OF VALKYRIES (A Munro) had to be steadied off the heels of BAAB AL NASR.

Near the 1200m, DAVINCI (K A’Isisuhairi) checked off the heels of WINNING CAUSE (B Vorster), which was also checked off the heels of BAAB AL NASR. An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a date to be fixed.

WINNING CAUSE and LIM’S AFFECTION were both difficult to settle in the backstraight.

Approaching the 400m, THESE STREETS (V Duric) became unbalanced after making contact with the running rail. RIDE OF VALKYRIES which was following had to be steadied in consequence.

Passing the 300m, WINNING CAUSE was momentarily steadied when BAAB AL NASR laid outwards.

The Veterinary Surgeon reported that LIM’S AFFECTION bled. In terms of MRA Rule 92(3), it will not be permitted to canter or gallop on the main training tracks of any racecourse for a period of two months, and may not start in any race for a period of three months, and then only after having satisfactorily passed a bleeder’s test.

 RACE 4:  CLASS 5, DIV 2 - 1200M (POLYTRACK)

ON TWISTTER (App K Toh), which was fractious in the barrier, was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and acting on veterinary advice, the Panel of Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 1953Hrs . In view of its previous history, it will be required to pass two consecutive starting stall tests prior to being declared to race again in terms of MRA Rule 78(2).

AFTERNOON DELIGHT (V Duric) was slow to begin.

PROSPERITY STAR (App N Alfian) jumped awkwardly inwards and made contact with the hindquarters of SIMPANG (App WS Chan). PROSPERITY STAR then had to be eased to avoid the heels of SIMPANG, which was carried outwards by REAL GOODMAN (S John).

Near the 1000m, REAL GOODMAN which raced tight to the inside of TROPICAL FOREST (App N Nurshahril), made contact with CASSIS OOLONG.

BROWNE’S ANATOMY (O Chavez) and JACK OF HEARTS (I Azhar) raced wide from the 700m.

Shortly after making the turn into the straight, CASSIS OOLONG was taken outwards in an attempt to obtain a clear running.

The Farrier reported that EASY EASY returned having cast its off-fore plate.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on EASY EASY which

revealed no apparent abnormality.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on PROSPERITY STAR which revealed no apparent abnormality.

All riders returned to scale an average of 1kg overweight due to the weather conditions.

 RACE 5:  BENCHMARK 67 - 1100M (POLYTRACK)

SCOUT DONE (TH Koh) lost ground after jumping away awkwardly. This resulted in Jockey Koh losing his off-side stirrup iron which he regained shortly thereafter.

CONFLIGHT (O Chavez) jumped awkwardly outwards and bumped BIGDINERO (App Z Zuriman).

HIMALAYA DRAGON (App K Toh) began awkwardly.

SUN PIONEER (R Woodworth) raced wide throughout.

NORTHERN BOSS (App R Hasri) made the turn into the straight wide after laying outwards from the 600m.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on CONFLIGHT which revealed no apparent abnormality.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on RICH FORTUNE (D Beasley which revealed no apparent abnormality.

All riders returned to scale an average of 1 1/2kg overweight due to the weather conditions.

 RACE 6:  MAIDEN, DIV 1 - 1600M

Prior to the running of Race 6, the going was downgraded to yielding.

BATTLE BOY (S Sam) and SOUTHERN ADMIRAL (M Zaki) were both slow into stride.

Near the 1400m, SUN DANCE (R Woodworth) and LEE MAN (S John) bumped on a few occasions. SUN DANCE then shifted outwards and bumped LEE MAN out onto EAGLESHAM (B Vorster).

SUN DANCE raced keenly in the early stages.

Near the 900m, BATTLE BOY shifted outwards and bumped FALKIRK LEAD (A Munro), carrying that mare wider on the track.

After passing the 800m, LEE MAN had to be steadied off the heels of SUN DANCE, which rolled outwards.

Near the 400m, FALKIRK LEAD shifted outwards when improving and in so doing, bumped SUN DANCE out onto BATTLE BOY, resulting in both horses being carried wider on the track.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on EXCELLENT WINNER (J Powell) which revealed no apparent abnormality.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on LEE MAN which revealed no apparent abnormality.

SOUTHERN ADMIRAL which raced poorly will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

All riders returned to scale an average of 1 1/2kg overweight due to the weather conditions.

 RACE 7:  CLASS 4 - 1000M (POLYTRACK)

ARROWHEAD (App M Khalid) was slow to begin after jumping away awkwardly.

FIERY SHINZO (V Duric) jumped awkwardly inwards bumping heavily with the hindquarters of MIGHTY CREATION (O Chavez), which in turn made heavy contact with SUGARTIME JAZZ (App N Nurshahril).

JOBODWANA (A Munro) jumped away awkwardly.

Approaching the 800m, DELFYNE (I Saifudin) eased off the heels of EATONS GOLD (App CK Ng), which shifted in and away from LADRONE (J Powell).

The Veterinary Surgeon reported that DELFYNE (I Saifudin) bled. In terms of MRA Rule 92(3), it will not be permitted to canter or gallop on the main training tracks of any racecourse for a period of two months, and may not start in any race for a period of three months, and then only after having satisfactorily passed a bleeder’s test.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on COTE DE NUITS (E Chaves) which revealed no apparent abnormality.

All riders returned to scale an average of 1 1/2kg overweight due to the weather conditions.

 RACE 8:  CLASS 5, DIV 1 - 1200M (POLYTRACK)

REAL HERO (App WT Chung) which was slow into stride was inconvenienced shortly after the start by SUPERB SEVEN (A Da Silva), which rolled outwards.

Shortly after the start, DRAGON KING (D Beasley) shifted outwards and bumped MISS BLANCHETT (A Munro) out onto ALWAYS AHEAD (TH Koh), which in turn made contact with CAPTAIN MCCAW (App MM Firdaus).

Approaching the 950m, SUPERB SEVEN eased to avoid the heels of OCEAN WORLD (App N Nurshahril), which rolled outwards.

Near the 800m, SO SIMPLE (App R Hasri), which was laying inwards bumped OCEAN WORLD on a couple of occasions.

Approaching the 700m, SO SIMPLE, which continued to lay inwards, made contact with OCEAN WORLD, which in turn carried CAPTAIN MCCAW out onto the heels of DRAGON KING, resulting in CAPTAIN MCCAW having to be eased.

Near the 300m, SO SIMPLE and OCEAN WORLD bumped due to both horses shifting ground. OCEAN WORLD then shifted outwards, making contact with SO SIMPLE for a number of strides.

From the 500m until near the 400m, BEAT TO QUARTERS (App CC Wong) had difficulty obtaining a clear run.

App WT Chung, will be questioned regarding the run of REAL HERO.

Subsequent veterinary examinations were requested on DRAGON KING, GOLDEN RABBIT (V Duric) and REAL HERO which revealed no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 9:  CLASS 4 - 1400M

INFANTRY (D Beasley) and HAMMER DOWN (App Z Zuriman) bumped on jumping.

AMAZON GOLD (A Da Silva) and MAZANDARAN (App I Amirul) bumped on jumping.

HAMMER DOWN raced wide throughout.

BRAHMS AND LISZT (J Powell) raced wide from the 700m.

Passing the 300m, MCGREGOR was taken outwards across the heels of CLERMONT CLUB (App CK Ng), to obtain clear running.

Near the 200m, MCGREGOR checked when racing to the outside of CLERMONT CLUB. An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a date to be fixed.

Near the 150m, AMAZON GOLD eased when tightened for room between HAMMER DOWN and CLERMONT CLUB, which shifted outwards.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on EXCELLENT ONE (TH Koh) which revealed that the gelding returned not striding out freely.
