Jockey KC Ow Yang has withdrawn his appeal against a three-year disqualification.

Ow Yang was charged on March 16 for failing to ride KINGSTON CITY on its merit under MRA Rule 44(7) as read with MRA Rule 44(8)(a) after the combination trailed the field in a Class 4, Div 1 - 1200m sprint in Ipoh on March 4. He was disqualified three years and fined RM50,000.

Ow Yang applied to withdraw his appeal on Thursday. After consideration, the Perak Turf Club Racing Stewards acceded to his application, however his deposit was forfeited. His disqualification commenced on May 10 and to expire on May 9, 2010, both days inclusive.

Ow Yang has already been placed on the forfeit list for failing to pay his fine of RM50,000.
