Jockey Wan and apprentice Khoo suspended

Jockey Wan Teck Moon has have his four-month suspension reduced to two months on appeal.

Wan was found guilty for failing to ride to the satisfaction of the Stewards on DARWIN in a Class 5 - 1300m handicap in Penang on Mar 16.

The Penang Turf Club racing stewards heard his appeal today.

After considering submissions from Wan, the Veterinary Surgeon Dr Khor Li Li and the Stipendiary Steward Lee Seng He, the racing stewards confirmed the charge against Wan, however, they reduced the original penalty of four months suspension to two months suspension and the fine was reduced from RM20,000 to RM10,000. Wan’s suspension which commenced on Apr 22, will now expire on Jun 21. His deposit was refunded.
