Bull And Bear spoils party for punters

KUALA LUMPUR:  Sep 13, 2014

BULL AND BEAR dealt a body blow to punters on a day of mostly favorite and well-backed winners when he captured a Class 5 - 1100m handicap at Sungei Besi here today.

Having not won a race since September 2012, the Australian seven-year-old was understandably neglected in the betting. And it was stable-mate METALLICA who started a firm third favourite and hit the front momentarily at the 200m.

But BULL AND BEAR quickly raced up to him and kicked clear close to home to win by three-quarter length to pay RM209 for a win.

It was the fourth win in 50 starts for BULL AND BEAR with two earliest wins recorded at Kranji.

Jackson Low, who will be moving to Singapore at the end of the month, shared riding honours with Noel Callow with three winners apiece, having booted home his first winner at Kranji last Sunday.
