Malaysia will stage its first race meeting in six weeks when the Penang Turf Club hosts a meeting for home based horses this Sunday.

Penang is the least affected of the three Malaysian clubs by an outbreak of respiratory infections, which resulted in a ban on the movement of horses in the country.

Nine races have been slated for Sunday which is a scheduled race meeting for the Club.

The Selangor Turf Club will stage its first meeting since Aug 22 with a meeting for home based horses on Oct 31.

The Perak Turf Club last held a meeting on Aug 23. Its next scheduled meeting is on Nov 14 and 15 with the running of the Coronation Cup as the highlight.
